Teff Seeds
"Teff Seeds" follows Selam, an Eritrean-Canadian woman, haunted by her deceased sister’s voice. She chases the voice to the cemetery where she encounters Binyam, an Eritrean refugee who drifts between shelters and grave sites. He claims he can speak to the dead, but when Selam sees that his gift is really just a curse into madness it shakes her out of trance and forces her to confront silence, grief, and the difficult work of letting go.
